David’s design talent and creativity made it fast and simple for us to create a logo for starting our small business, Wilmington Homebrew Supply. We are so grateful for our logo and signage designs. Our Logo Design Process

Mercedes

The Creative Brief:

Our first step in the logo design process is to get to know you and your business. We take time to ask important questions like: “What is your mission and vision behind your business” or “How do you communicate with customers?" This initial research provides us with a firm foundation in your goals.

Mercedes

Digital Collaboration:

We use a variety of tools that enable us to collect visual examples as a starting point in the design process. We work with you to collect reference images that have already caught your eye. This process develops a visual guide and direction as we begin the logo design process.

Mercedes

Sketching / Design:

This is where the pencil hits the paper. Each logo is crafted from scratch by our in-house designers. We focus on combining our foundational research with a unique design to sketch a variety of initial concepts. Though not every concept makes the cut, each one brings us closer to a perfect end result.

Mercedes

Logo Presentation:

Here, we narrow down our top three concepts and compile them for you to review. We provide a complimentary walk-through of the vision behind each concept and the opportunity to provide feedback on the little details.

Mercedes

Celebration:

After the review and revisions, this is the opportunity to celebrate! Once we have a concept you love, we provide you with a style guide that defines your logos specific colors and typefaces. We deliver logos in standard formats (vector, JPG, etc.) as well as any you may request.

Key elements to great logo design

Mercedes

1 / Communication

What does your logo design communicate both literally and subliminally? Think about what your logo communicates to your customers.

Mercedes

2 / Legibility

Your logo design has to exist in a variety of media and sizes. How well does it perform at smaller sizes?

Mercedes

3 / Clarity

Both in the visual and communicative sense, how clear is your logo design’s message?

Mercedes

4 / Reproduction

Think about how well your logo design can be reproduced. If embroidered on a hat will your multicolor logo reproduce well or do you have a one color option that maintains the integrity of the full color version?

Mercedes

5 / Uniqueness

Does your logo design stand apart from your competitors and other businesses? A great logo should be as unique as your company.

Mercedes

6 / Role

A logo is the face of your company. It’s the first thing clients see and most of the time their first visual interaction with your company. However, a great logo needs to be simple and not do all of the lifting. Support your logo with a brand identity and graphic elements to further the communication of your company.
